Who runs this, how it's kept accurate, and why it's built the way it is.
Shepherd Flagstaff is a free directory of real help in Flagstaff, Arizona. It's built and kept up by Hope for Americans, a Flagstaff nonprofit that builds free digital tools for the community.
Hope for Americans is built in the Lutheran tradition of mercy: the belief that grace isn't earned, and help shouldn't be either. You don't need to share that faith, or any faith, to use this site. Nobody who calls a number on this page will be asked what they believe.
Every listing here is checked by hand, not scraped from another directory. The "Checked [month]" date on each card is the last time someone actually confirmed the phone number, hours, and address still work. Places change. If something here is wrong, reach out to Hope for Americans and it'll get fixed.
This directory doesn't list any Flagstaff congregation, on purpose. Flagstaff has many churches doing real outreach, and this site isn't in a position to rank one above another.
The one faith-based listing here, Digital Lutheran Church, isn't a local congregation. It's a separate Hope for Americans project, built for people who can't get to a church in person at all: the homebound, caregivers, night-shift workers, travelers. It's listed under Someone to talk to, the same as every other resource on this site.
